Anna Nicole Will Be Buried in The Bahamas
A Florida judge has ruled that Anna Nicole Smith's body will be returned to The Bahamas for burial.
The Appeals Court ruling upholds Judge Seidlin's original ruling last week that Anna Nicole's body be returned to the Bahamas for burial.
The ruling supports what Anna Nicole had told many people before she died - that she wanted to be buried next to her son Daniel in the Bahamas.
In other news, The National Enquirer is reporting that preliminary toxicology results show that Anna Nicole may have died from pneumonia, not drugs. She had been hospitalized in the Bahamas for pneumonia after her son Daniel's mysterious death, and people reported that Anna had a high fever the day she died. Other unconfirmed reports from a friend of Anna Nicole claim she had lupus. While the cause of death of Anna Nicole Smith is still officially under investigation, the former Playmate's body continues to decompose in a Florida morgue, but with the judge's ruling she is expected to be buried on Friday.

The Untold Story: Pollution from Livestock Contribute Significantly To Global Warming
 Whether you agree that human activity on earth is polluting the atmosphere and triggering a warming of the globe, the facts are in - cattle rearing contributes more to global atmospheric, water and land pollution than automobiles.
After first publishing this news last week, thousands of people have read this article on the Internet and dozens have written to me asking that I offer more evidence of the claim.
I appreciate the feedback, and so I have collected some more facts about cattle pollution from a number of sources on the web.
 - Global meat production is projected to more than double from 229 million tons in 1999/2001 to 465 million tons in 2050, while milk output is set to climb from 580 to 1043 million tons. [source: United Nations report, Dec., 2006]
- When emissions from land use (such as production of feedcrops and grazing land) and land use change are included, the livestock sector accounts for 9% of CO2 deriving from human-related activities, but produces a much larger share of even more harmful greenhouse gases. It generates 65% of human-related nitrous oxide, which has 296 times the Global Warming Potential (GWP) of CO2. Most of this comes from manure. [United Nations, Dec 2006]
- Animal agriculture produces...37 percent of the methane [in the atmosphere] annually. [NewsTarget]
- Waste from farm animals in the United States alone is 130 times greater compared to humans. Agricultural runoff [containing animal feces and urine] has killed millions of fish, and is the main reason why 60% of America's rivers and streams are 'impaired'. - [source]
Heard enough? I have. I'm just going to eat less meat and it come from an organic, 'environmental' farm. We have plenty of those around here in Santa Cruz County, California.

Giant Squid Caught By New Zealand Fishermen
A giant squid was caught by fishermen in New Zealand, measuring nearly 40 feet long (about the size of a school bus), just a few feet short of a Colossal Squid.
It is believed to be the first time a squid of this size has ever been captured. Here is the video from MSNBC.
In September, a team of Japanese oceanographers filmed a live 42.6 foot (13 m) giant squid for the first time ever.
The researchers lured the squid with a long line fitted with squid bait and dangling hooks that were designed to snag the creature when it went for the bait.
The device had worked once before with the giant Architeuthisa and researchers had taken many still photographs. This is the first time the enormous squid has been filmed on video in its natural habitat.
Once the squid was hooked, it took the creature more than four hours to detach itself, losing a 15-foot portion of one of its tentacle in the process. (The PETA folks are going to love that!)
"It was exciting to get a live Architeuthis tentacle. It was still functioning when we got it on the boat," Dr Kubodera told the BBC. The huge suckers on the tentacle repeatedly gripped the boat beck and Dr. Kubodera's fingers "when he prodded the severed appendage."

Why We Should Worry About Bird Flu and Be Prepared
 While the world is obsessed with Britney Spears and Anna Nicole Smith, the clock is ticking on a mutation of the avaian bird flu from human to human.
The global threat that made so much news a year ago seems to have been lost completely in other news of celebrity antics, and to be fair, the Iraq war.
This is all despite the fact that the bird flu is spreading. This week Russian health officials claim they had one of the worst outbreaks of bird flu in that country, with the virus nearly reaching the capital city of Moscow.
Today, officials in Afghanistan and Pakistan ordered the slaughter of hundreds of birds after a number of birds were found to be infected with the deadly H5N1 virus.
While a porky Al Gore jaunts around the world in his private, carbon gas polluting jet (oh yeah, he 'buys' carbon credits which make the pollution magically disappear) to give paid speeches that the world is going to end in 50 years due to global warming, a much more immediate threat quietly festers, spreading its threat of mutation all over the globe - from Canada to Turkey, Vietnam to Northern Europe.
So why then are we not talking about the bird flu, and the alarming fact that like Hurricane Katrina, we (as a community and country) are no where close to being prepared for a large-scale disaster of almost any level in just about any city in America, let alone the entire nation or the world.
U.S. Ambassador John Lange commented today that in his discussions with the director general of the World Health Organization (WHO), Margaret Chan, they agreed that the very limited supplies of bird flu vaccine need to be distributed more evenly worldwide to avoid a true pandemic like the 1918 influenza pandemic that killed 20 million people worldwide.
 "We discussed the critical importance of sharing of samples in order to do risk assessment ... (and also) the need to facilitate broader and more equitable regional distribution of production capacity for influenza vaccine," he said. Notice that he did not say "if" or "potential".
"The threat of a pandemic virus is serious and it's expected to persist," Lange said.
They can show us all the blocks of ice dropping from glaciers that they want, but the truth is we are all more immediately threatened by things like a pandemic bird flu, food poisoning, a gigantic asteroid, hospital neglect, non-flu diseases, nuclear war or terrorism.
I am not saying global warming is not happening or does not pose a substantial threat to the future of mankind, but are we being distracted from more immediate threats?
There are of course conspiracy theorists who hypothesize (or truly believe) that the government doesn't want us to know the true level of the threat that a bird flu outbreak poses because it may cause panic, economic disruption and civilian uprisings.
I'm not sure I'd personally go that far, but it's clear from our past lessons that we cannot, and must not, rely on our government to help us. Even George W. himself said so last year after the White House announced a whopping $7 billion plan to figure out which government agencies would do what in the event of a nationwide flu epidemic.
Since it is clearer than crystal that we are all on our own if a flu pandemic or other major disaster occurs, have you thought out the possibilities and how you would protect you and your family? What have you done?
Many have done nothing, but do remember to lock the doors, close the gates, turn on the house alarm, install motion-detection lights, and even set up security cameras.
Other people have stocked candles, water, dry food, gas masks, non-battery powered flashlights and a radio, reusable face masks, water purification tablets and waterproof matches, etc. That's great.
But what about three months of food and water stored in a number of safe, accessible areas? What out stashing away cash, documents and keys in a safe place (such as in the bank and near your home) should something unpredictable happen?

 As you see, there are many considerations. For example, are you prepared for extreme climate conditions if there is no electricity?
Have you thought of alternatives to your SUVs and other vehicles if gas is not available or so expensive stations will be charging unbelievable rates until they dry up? Have you sat down and devised a plan for yourself or your family? Where to meet, where to go, what to do and so on.
This sounds like a paranoid rant of a crazy person, right? Nope, it's ultimate preparedness. Still insist it's paranoia? Well, just because your paranoid doesn't mean you don't have good reason to be.

Judge Grants Custody of Anna Nicole Smith's Body to Howard K. Stern for Burial in Bahamas Next to Son
 A weeping Judge Larry Seidlin declared just minutes ago that Anna Nicole Smith's body will be turned over to her next-of-kin, her daughter Danielynn, in the custody of Howard K. Stern to be buried next to her son Daniel in the Bahamas.
The judge was more disturbed, apparently, than anyone else in the courtroom at the time he read the verdict.
The decision does not determine custody of Anna Nicole Smith's daughter, Danielynn.

Anna Nicole Threw Herself in Son's Casket, Lawyer Collapses
 Update: A break in the odd proceedings at the trial to determine where Anna Nicole Smith's body will be buried recessed for a brief time Thursday afternoon after one of the lawyers for Anna Nicole's mother collapsed.
The lawyer is a known diabetic. Guards in the courtroom raced to the other side of the court to help the fallen attorney.
The proceedings continued a sixth day of a circus-like atmosphere in one of the most bizarre trials in recent memory.
A major revelation was made when a Texan police officer, who was in the Bahamas for a brief time with Anna before she did, of Anna Nicole took the stand and said she had asked for the casket of her son Daniel to be opened just before burial at the cemetery.  According to his testimony, Anna Nicole and he were still under the tent at the burial plot when the casket was opened.
At that point, he said, Anna Nicole leaped into the casket with Daniel sobbing and screaming that she should die before her son. The officer claimed that Daniel was Anna's "rock" and claimed Anna told him that she wanted to be buried next to Daniel "if anything happened to her."
The officer was shortly thereafter stricken from the record and removed as a witness when the highly incompetent Judge Larry Seidlin determined he was not a credible witness. As the medical examiner of Broward County pressures the judge to wrap-up the proceedings urging that Anna Nicole Smith's body is deteriorating so rapidly it will not be appropriate for viewable.
Seidlin has face a firestorm of criticism from lawyers and judges around the country for his strange court antics, self-promotional grandstanding and extensive, extraneous babbling about the paternity of Smith's daughter.
County lawyers in south Florida have asked the chief justice of Broward to remove Seidlin and argue he should have been removed when his unethical antics made headlines last week.

That's Right Johnny, We're Banking On Your Umbilical Cord
 When semen banks first opened in the United States during the 1980's, business was good. Many clients wanted to simply freeze their sperm for future fertilization. Many people thought it was very weird, even Orwellian.
As bioscience has made extraordinary advances in the past two decades, a new set of banks are opening to store blood from newborns' umbilical cords in case of a future illness.
The theory is that because umbilical cord blood is rich with viable stem cells, it may someday have significant healing properties for the intended donor, especially as more progress is made in thwarting and treating disease with the help of rich stem cells.
Dr. Elizabeth Shpall of the public M.D. Anderson Cord Blood Bank said she is confident there is plenty of cord blood available for both private and public banks because the majority of cord blood from four million annual births in the U.S. is simply discarded.

What's the controversy? Deciding who really needs to
store a child's own cord blood for later use. Private storage costs $1,500 to
$1,900 up front, and about $125 a year thereafter, although some offer special
programs for lower-income families.
Guidelines published last month by the American Academy of Pediatrics say:
- Parents should consider private storage only if an older sibling has cancer or certain genetic diseases that cord blood is proven to treat.
Everyone else should consider donating their child's cord blood.
 However, the chances that a child would need his or her own cord blood later in life are extremely low, between one in 1,000 and one in 200,000.
Doctors in Illinois claimed last month that they had apparently treated a child with leukemia using her own cord blood. That was previously considered impossible (and some are still not convinced) because cord blood usually carries the cancer-triggering genetic defect.
Dr. Ammar Hayani said that parents have flooded Advocate Hope Children's Hospital asking if they should store their babies' cord blood.
"It's probably over advertised by some of these companies as this biological insurance. That's probably over dramatization of its potential," Hayani said. "But I think parents need to know" both sides' arguments, he said.

Miner Finds 25 Million-Year-Old Frog Preserved in Amber
 A miner in Mexico has discovered a 25-million-year-old frog perfectly preserved in amber, according to scientists at the Institute of Natural History and Ecology in the state of Chiapas.
The tree frog, which measures 0.4 inches, was bought by a collector who handed it over to scientists for study, the Associated Press reported today.
Never has an amphibian of this species been discovered in Mexico, but a number have been found in the Dominican Republic. The species is the genus Craugastor, which still inhabit the region.
The preserved frog will reportedly be studied by other prominent scientists to verify its age, and if they agree with the findings, it will be one of the oldest and best preserved samples of ancient amphibian life in the world.

Suspicion and Weirdness of Anna Nicole Smith's Will Grows
 Following the revelation just hours ago of Anna Nicole Smith's will, friends and others on the blogs are looking more suspiciously at Howard K. Stern.
According to ABC News, Anna Nicole's will stated that her full estate would go to her son Daniel Wayne Smith, who was a minor at the time. Well, we all know, Daniel passed away in September in the Bahamas under suspicious circumstances.
The will, signed in October of 2001, specifically stated that her estate would go solely to Daniel, and assigned Stern as the trustee.
So now that Daniel is gone, speculation is growing that Howard K. Stern may have orchestrated a series of events that could make him either the heir to, or the executor of, perhaps a half billion dollars.
While Anna Nicole Smith's body is being fought over, there are of course six men who are in some form or another claiming to be the father of Danielynn, Anna Nicole's 5-month old daughter.

 The front page of Google, often called the "Internet's homepage", has an interesting logo today.
The "l" is hardly noticeable. Is there something else to it?
The Valentine's logo looks like 'Googe' to a lot of people, so it could be an unintentional hack.
I wonder how many hits GoDaddy is getting today for people checking out Googe.com
UPDATE: Sometime around 9pm PST or earlier, Google replaced the logo with the company's default, standard logo. Why?
Is it possible that they got so much flack for it? There's a headliner. Afterall, it is the most visited website in the world.

Bill Creepy O'Reilly and Fox News Still Won't Apologize For Shawn Hornbeck Comments
 It has been a couple of weeks now since the firestorm of Bill O'Reilly's comments about Shawn Hornbeck, but O'Reilly, nor Fox News, have still not offered a formal apology.
After being flooded with calls and emails of outraged citizens and professionals in the child abuse profession, The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children dropped O'Reilly as their planned keynote speaker for a fundraiser next month.
During a segment of his "I'm so great, huh?" TV 'news' show, O'Reilly said that kidnap victim Shawn Hornbeck must have had "fun" during his captivity and that's why Hornbeck didn't escape.
The CMEC ditched O'Reilly, but only after first defending him (they lost credibility too, in my opinion). O'Reilly has been replaced with America's Most Wanted host John Walsh.
What is even more disturbing is that O'Reilly wasn't saying this off the top of his head. As he has said himself, he 'carefully' prepares for his show for hours before it airs.
So, in sketching out what he'd say about Hornbeck that evening, his nutty and twisted logic compelled him to declare: "The situation here for this kid looks to be a lot more fun than what he had under his own parents."
"He didn't have to go to school...There is an element here that this kid liked about his situation."
 Hornbeck, who was kidnapped at 11 years old and sexually and emotionally brutalized for four years, was found three weeks ago by police in Missouri.
Well O'Reilly you might as well have molested the kid himself, what a complete idiot.
What O'Reilly said is the equivalent of saying that a girl or woman asked to be raped because she dressed a certain way (he said that once too).
I urge everyone, for the sake of morality and decency, to be counted and send an email to Fox News and tell them you are boycotting all Fox products until O'Reilly makes a public apology to Shawn Hornbeck, the family and anyone else who has ever been a victim of a sexual predator.
O'Reilly, who has ranted for years about judges letting off child molesters with light sentences (which is a crime itself) can't say anything now because he has NO credibility (as if he ever did). The following evening, O'Reilly tried to back-off by saying the following (which just threw barrels of gas on the fire):
"After teaching teenagers in high school, it is hard for me to believe that a normal kid would stay in a horrible environment when escape was easy, especially if the child had confidence in his parents."
That's NOT an apology; it's just another affirmation of what he said before.
Anyone who buys his books or watches his show, shame on you. Watch Keith Olbermann (a straight-shooter) on MSNBC instead since he really went after O'Reilly (see video).
With all due respect to my readers, O'Reilly needs to be put in the dumps. Don't watch his show because by doing so you are voting for a sick man who still refuses to make the apology that any decent person would do.
But Bill O'Reilly, the hypocritical egomaniac know-it-all doesn't have to apologize.
He is somehow superior, or more likely, he is not sorry and still believes Shawn Hornbeck liked being terrorized and sodomized for four years.

Anna Nicole Smith's Refrigerator Contains Methadone and SlimFast
 Exclusive photographs released on TMZ show what they claim to be the contents of Anna Nicole's refrigerator in her bedroom of the home she resided in while recently in the Bahamas, and where Howard K. Stern is now with the baby.
You can clearly see the methadone (5 mg per 5ml) and SlimFast, plus some yogurt and other unidentifiable bottles. She also had some TrimSpa drinks nearby the refrigerator. She was a spokesperson for TrimSpa.Don't be surprised to see more photos and clowns surfacing. Notice how everyone is coming out of the woodwork to claim their piece of the half billion dollars? That freaky f*ck-head "Prince" and husband of Ms. Gabore press conference the other day was a sham, scam and shame.  This is the same fruitcake that sued Pfizer because he said Viagra made him sexually impotent. So then how could you be the father, you idiot?

Cattle Emissions Contribute More To Global Warming Than Transportation
 According to a United Nations report, gases emitted by cattle rearing across the globe contributes more to global warming than transportation.
That's right, folks, cow flatulence and belching are outpacing car emissions worldwide as the number one contributors to global warming.
As the U.N. report recommends, scientists around the world are working on creative solutions to this largely misunderstood, and much under reported, culprit in the global debate over greenhouse gas emissions that scientists agree are accelerating global warming.
Mostly the research is centering on creating a feed that reduces the methane emissions from cattle, which come mostly from blenching and flagellating of ruminants like cows and sheep, scientists say.
Last week, researchers at the Rowett Research Institute in Aberdeen, Scotland kicked-off a
one-year trial of a new feed they say will cut down on blenching and other emissions of ruminants like sheep and cows.
 Cattle release as much as 500 litres of methane each day into the atmosphere.
Dr. John Wallace, who is leading the research, told the BBC Wednesday: "We've done a lamb trial recently in which we used this additive and we obtained a 70% decrease in methane formation.
Wallace also addressed the concerns of many cattle farmers by claiming that the cattle retain 10% more of their body weight.
The "farmer benefits as well," he said, "because the energy in that methane is retained in the animal's body." Of course this whole story brings up all kinds of questions and for others, jokes, but ultimately it could be a significant development in reducing greenhouse gases from human-raised animals.
Yeah, I know what you're thinking. Well how much do humans contribute to greenhouse gases from their own bodies in everyday life?

Ben and Jerry's Stephen Colbert Ice Cream Leaks? Is This A Scoop?
This story has since been confirmed after Ben & Jerry's appeared on the Colbert Nation show on March 5, 2007 with the Americone Dream ice cream.
Here is the original story with what where only rumors a month ago:
 According to a Colbert fan site, they got a scoop on the Ben and Jerry's carton design claiming it was leaked by a Whole Foods employee.
Ben and Jerry's company spokesman Rob Michalak said: "I can neither confirm nor deny it. But I can say there's been a lot of experimentation with red, white and blue."
The alleged design (shown here) cannot be confirmed. Any Photoshop pro could have put this together as a prank (and if it is a prank, great designer, huh?) because rumors have swirled on the Internet for months about a Colbert ice cream.
Colbert has amassed a large fan base in the less than two years he has been on the air, and has even won a number of prestigious awards and recognitions. 
But most people know Colbert from John Stewart's Daily Show, where he was a correspondent for three years, or they know him from the famous 'green-screen challenge' with The Decemberists and other attention-grabbing stunts.
 But a whole lot of other folks will get to know Stephen Colbert if it is true that Ben & Jerry's makes a yummy ice cream named for after him.
Let's suppose for the time being, that the leak is not a scoop and just a well-planned prank:

Bears Fan Loses Superbowl Bet; Change Name to Manning
 A man in Decatur, Illinois made good on a bet today by changing his name to Peyton Manning. Yup, that Peyton Manning.
The man, Scott Wiese, a Chicago Bears fan, made a bet with friends that if the Bears lost the Superbowl he'd change his name to the winning Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning.
Wiese said he had to make good on the promise and officially changed his name at Macon County Courts Facility this afternoon.
Imagine the pain this man will feel?

Rev. Haggard is Miraculously Cured from Homosexuality in Three Months (That's a Record)
 One of the reverends who was involved for three months in the "intensive counseling" of disgraced Rev. Ted Haggard says that Rev. Haggard is convinced he is now "completely heterosexual."
Rev. Tim Ralph told The Denver Post that Haggard realized he "is completely heterosexual" during therapy.

Rev. Haggard resigned as president of the National Association of Evangelicals last year after he admitted to hiring male prostitute Mike Jones (who had 'outed' Haggard) and purchasing methamphetamine from Jones. But Haggard claimed he never used the drug even though part of his treatment was for drug abuse. How interesting!!
Rev. Ralph said about Haggard's new-found heterosexuality: "That is something he discovered [during therapy]. It was the acting-out situations where things took place. It wasn't a constant thing." However, Jones claimed he was hired by Haggard dozens of times over a number of years.
In his first communication with church members in three months, Haggard sent an email last Sunday in which he said his wife was working on obtaining a master's degrees in psychology.
How ironic, no? I mean she knows he's a liar and a cheater. Maybe she is trying to figure out why she stays with him.
UMMM, hello, do you really need a masters in psychology to get it? Mrs. Haggard, please, your husband can't become heterosexual just like a heterosexual can't just become a homosexual. Monkey scratches his head.
"Nobody is saying he can't go back into ministry," Rev. Ralph said. "Somewhere down the road, that could very well happen, and that would be wonderful."

NASA Astronaut Officially Charged; Exclusive Photos Revealed
 Just a few minutes ago, a judge in Orange County, Florida (near Orlando) has officially charged NASA astronaut Lisa Marie Nowak, 43, with attempted kidnapping and weapon charges.
Judge Mike Murphy rejected the charge of attempted murder for the time being despite the prosecutor's pleas. The judge upped Nowak's bail to $25,500 and ordered her to wear a GPS anklet as she is expected to return to Houston where she lives with her husband and three children.
The prosecutor said that the "add-on" charges are based on police findings and the fact that Nowak printed a map from Houston to Orlando, had dirty diapers, plus rubber hoses, mallet and a knife, not to mention a map directly to the home of the intended victim.
Nowak apparently confronted the other woman (yet to be named) and pepper-sprayed her through her car window. That is when police arrived and arrested her at approximately 3:30 am EST on Tuesday.
Nowak's lawyer argued that there is no evidence that she intended to kill anyone and that the police kept Nowak in secluded custody not allowing her to see her attorney for more than 10 hours.
The photos to the right show a healthy Nowak last year before she went on an Shuttle mission. She looks much different now in her mugshot, shown below. The photo also shows the alleged man of her affection, NASA astronaut Bill Oefelein.
Oefelein, 41, piloted the space shuttle Discovery in December. He and Nowak trained together but never flew a mission together.
The intended victim is apparently housed at Patterson Air Force Base.
Nowak was on a Space Shuttle mission this past summer and was hailed for her work maneuvering the shuttle's large robotic arm.

Houston, We Have a Problem; Astronaut Arrested
 In a bizarre event, Orlando police have arrested a NASA astronaut who was allegedly planned to kipnap and kill a romantic rival for a male astronaut's love.
Spokeswoman St. Barb Jones said that Lisa Marie Nowak, 43, a NASA astronaut, was arrested with the intent "to do serious bodily injury or death.
Jones said a knife, a steel mallet and large garbage bags were found in Nowak's car. Apparently Nowak had also been wearing diapers for a nearly 900-mile drive from Houston to Orlando.
Nowak is a Navy captain and married mother of three children. She has already been charged with attempted vehicle burglary with battery, attempted kidnapping and destruction of evidence.
On Tuesday morning a judge said Nowak could be released on $15,500 bail provided she stay away from the other woman and wear a monitoring device.

Laura Ingraham and Bill O'Reilly Have Heated Exchange
On last night's Bill O'Reilly (barf!) show The Factor, sponsored by the Bush Administration Network (BANFOX), Laura Ingraham roasted Bill O'Reilly and the 'male anchors' at the network as being sexist by showing photos of a woman bathing in the sun, covering a story about a nude party and another story about female workers at a fast food restaurant who wear very short shorts.
She asked O'Reilly to stop doing it.
She also said she doesn't have any problems with gay people! What! Was that really Laura Ingraham saying that? You sure wouldn't hear that from the annoying blabber-mouth Ann Coulter (who has had so much plastic surgery she's almost unrecognizable).
Ingraham said she is comfortable around gay people because her brother is gay.
O'Reilly looked stunned while she went off on him. Do I say "good for her?" because I so dislike O'Reilly? Yes. Because O'Reilly is O'Really an egotistical maniac who is almost as hard to look at and listen to as George W. Bush.
Ingraham also said she thinks it's not an issue that Vice Prez Cheney's daughter Mary is openly gay and having a baby. Can you imagine what the right-right wing of the Republican party really think about that? That's a scary thought.

Exclusive Photos from Internet of Shawn Hornbeck
Update: Out of respect for Shaun Hornbeck and his family, I have decided to remove the rarely seen photographs of Shaun while he was in captivity.
I appeal to all of you to please take a moment and write your Congressional representative to express that you want more funding for federal, state and local agencies so these entities can expand and enhance their efforts to:
- Pass mandatory federal law of life in prison for any crimes that cause significant and deliberate harm to any child under 18 years of age
- Educate children and families about personal safety both at home (home security, Internet usage) and outside the home
- Search and locate missing children
- Notify ALL families in every neighborhood in every state when and where a convicted sex offender lives within 2-mile radius
- Make more sex offender and missing children information widely available on the Internet
I firmly believe that it is the duty of every adult - with or without their own children - to protect children from any kind of harm or threat. Anyone who hurts a child in anyway is the scum of the earth and should do everyone a favor and kill themselves.
All children, no matter their color, religion, national origin and so on, deserve a happy childhood and anyone who does anything to deprive children of anything but a happy, loving and safe childhood will need to answer to whatever god they worship. For those who have no god, it'll come back to you - guaranteed.

SAINT LOUIS, Missouri - A local television news station has released alleged photos of Shawn Hornbeck supposedly taken over the past few years while he was in captivity.
Hornbeck's lawyer said that no one has the facts under what circumstances the photos were taken.
The photos (original photo has since been deleted) allegedly show Shawn dressed up as what many people would "a gangsta" style.
Even if they are confirmed, he could have been just messing around, dressing up for Halloween, or made to by someone.
More likely, they are self portraits of a boy whose mind has been so twisted and brainwashed he didn't know what he was doing.
Maybe he made the photos for Bill O'Reilly (who recently said Shawn probably had 'fun' with his kidnapper.)
There are very few people who know what Michael Devlin (notice how close the name is to "Devil") did to him, so I plead with people to not make any judgements of Shawn from these pictures.

It's a safe bet to say that these pictures will end up in the trial one way or another. It is only human nature to wonder if he is holding a real gun. But it is really irrelevant.
This story has made news around the world, and will likely be in the news for a long time to come. Don't be surprised to see a made-for-TV movie on one of the desperate network channels.
At the end of the day, two kids were saved and reunited with their families. A FOX News source says that Hornbeck was kidnapped at gunpoint and kept in isolation and viciously abused by Devlin for months occasionally allowing Shawn to come out of isolation.
This is tragic story that hopefully will be a lesson to many parents to talk with their children about what do to and not to do if they are ever approached or actually kidnapped by a stranger.
Shawn and his family will need lots of time and therapy to recover. As all experts in the field of kidnapped children say, the initial two weeks of reunification may be blissful and joyous, but after that the issues will arise that are going to put Shawn and his family through even more anguish.

Let's just hope much good will come of this and that Shawn will have a future not haunted by his past.
Do not believe rumors on the Internet. The poor kid, as I said before (and we all know), has suffered in ways we do not know and probably are better off not knowing. As long as justice is served and Devlin.
If he goes to prison, he'll be a target, and well, maybe there will be another kind of justice for the two boys - what is called 'prison justice'. There are tens of thousands of prisoners in this country who have nothing to lose and would happily kill Devlin given the chance.
