The Shopping Network Host Describes a Moth as a Horse
If you have not seen this video from The Home Shopping network, you must. It is probably one of the funniest and stupidest things I've ever seen.
Sadly for the guy, this idiotic video of him, seen all over the world via the Internet and television, is going to be what he'll be remembered for no matter what he does from now on out, unless he does something stupider than this, which is nearly impossible to imagine.
The salesman is selling some photo equipment and he holds up a large printed colored image of what is clearly a moth.
For almost one very long, but surreal, minute the salesman describes on the enlarged photograph he is holding the anatomy of a horse: "look at that horse, see the bushy head and the teeth...wait my producer just told me it's not a horse, it's a butterfly. It might be a moth."
Did somebody slip some LSD in his coffee? Really though, how do you explain this? This guy should definitely start a blog to describe his whole experience, promote it, make some money and go on a safari where he can watch pink elephants chase giant ants. My goodness!
Now if it were the case where the salesman for the Shopping Network accidentally identified a moth as a butterfly, we would have never heard of it. But that didn't happen, and whatever universe this guy was in, and that he gave us a taste of, if there are moths that look like horses there, what the hell do the horses look like? Eek!
According to Arthur Brooks, author of "Who Really Cares?" the working poor give the most (in percentage of income) to charitable organizations, the rich come in second (hey, that's not right) and lastly the middle class.
I can understand how the middle class would be last more than I can grasp that the working poor in the United States give more to charity than the rich.
Wow! How many people would be surprised to here this? Are you?
Students from Washington University in St.Louis teamed up with GQ magazine to see if they could measure the legendary Babe Ruth's athletic abilities with Cardinals slugger Albert Pujols.
Couldn't that money have been used for better purposes. Are there Washington University students, or anyone else, that would like to sound-off on this? Simply fill them out in the Comments section below. You can post anonymously or identify yourself.
It is just plain stupid when univerisities spend precious dollars and resources on idiotic research studies while students' school fees keep increasing every year.
