Rare Music Celebrity Photos, Interviews and Paintings

Michael Dare did amazing work with Polaroids, creating distorted, Van Goghish images. He didn't use any paint or computer programs to make the distorted images.

Entertainment fans will surely enjoy Emulsional Problems, a web site containing rare "illustrated stories," photos and interviews with stars like John Waters, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Tom Waits, James Cameron, Tracey Ullman and John Carpenter.

There is also a nice little story about the web owner's encounter with "Flea" (Red Hot Chilli Peppers) when he was about 14 and playing the trumpet.

One of the highlights is his story about Andy Kaufman, aka "Man on the Moon."

PS3 Sell For More Than $2K; eBay 's Clarifies Selling Requirements

The PlayStation 3 release frenzy continues. The units are apparently all "spoken for" according to Sony.

However, on eBay they are selling like crazy with bidders willing to pay over $2,000!

The suggested retail price of the new "must-have" device of the month is $500 for a basic PS3 with a 20-gigabyte drive ($600 for 60 gigabytes) and includes built-in wireless and the Blu-ray DVD player for HD video.

On Wednesday, eBay said it will put a limit on the number of PS3's that can be sold on the auction web site and clarified the requirements after confusion about who can sell the console on the site.

Scary, Old McD Commercials

When I was a kid, smoking was cool, music came on vinyl and McDonald's was a "good place to get food cheap and fast."

Well god only knows how many people have died from eating their crap over the years, but there's no question that they targeted me as a kid and still target kids today. Except now their menu is "healthier".

Back in the day the commercials were quite a scream compared to today's, especially in production value, sound quality and character casting. Here's a McD commercial that is frantically strange and frankly kind of scary. Has everyone, including Ronald, had like way too much coffee or perhaps consumed illegal amphetimines? Geeezzz.

(Note: Video and audio quality not great, but come on, this is about 30 years old. It's just really weird, that's all.)

Iraqi Atomic Documents Pulled From Web by Feds

After a report in The New York Times and complaints from intelligence officials, the CIA has decided to remove from its website once-classified documents that allegly prove Saddam Hussein was pursuing a weapons program that included an atomic bomb.
Although the documents were removed, a number of websites were able to capture and save some of the Operation Iraqi Freedom documents, including Wikipedia.
