It's not the first time Michael Francis Wiley has taken police in Florida on a high speed chase. The remarkable part is that Wiley has no arms and only one leg. For about eight minutes on Friday, Wiley, 40, sped through the streets of downtown New Port Richey, Florida until the police called off the chase out of fear for the public's safety. New Port Richey Police issued an immediate arrest warrant for Wiley who was soon apprehended and now awaits trial for various traffic and drug charges. Wiley has been arrested so many times for driving on a suspended license that he now faces a felony charge for that crime alone. Wiley has previously served time in prison for the same violation and for kicking a police officer. Wiley lost both arms and a leg following an electrical accident when he was 13 years old. In the ensuing years, he taught himself how to drive with just one leg. That's right, one leg. In fact, he had a valid driver's license for many years in Florida because he was able to pass the driving test. Now he faces up to five years in prison.
